Excuse the mess - Redesign in progress

When I moved to the CMS of my choice, MODx, I had no time to add the old design of my homepage, and then again I had no time to build another one. I tried it a few times, but always got stuck somewhere and never been happy.

I guess it was for the lack of some snippets and modules that I was in need of. MODx grew and has now almost everything I need. Some of the available snippets where not really doing the job as I wanted, so I had to write some on my own. Now that I have them almost complete and functional, I could build my own template I was dreaming of.

The main target was to build the website accessible to everyone, no matter of web browser or platform. So far I have tested it only on Firefox and Opera because I am using Linux on my desktop PC. As soon as possible I'll check also with Internet Explorer at some friends, and waiting for suggestions from Mac users because that is something I definitely don't have access to that platform. Probably it works ok! Usually I like to think big and as a personal challenge, I've built the markup code as W3C valid XHTML 1.1 Strict.

In addition to the above, the website is not using any Javascript/AJAX in it's core. Proably I will add some nice effects later, optional and degradable, but I have to write first my own little library.

There are some unfinished things regarding functionality, like registered user profile page, download section in my lab, sidenotes, etc. For the design part, I'm still in need of a logo, more of the little details here and there and most probably I'll need to tweak the CSS for IE.

Feel free to post a comment and report problems for both functionality and design. For most of them I am aware of, but there's always something I could have missed.
